It’s been some time since Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures dropped the first trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming. Some new official posters for the Jon Watts flick recently surfaced online, leading to speculation that a new trailer might be nearing its launch. And now, the studios have just announced that trailer’s release with a teaser.
The six-second teaser confirms that the new Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer will arrive tomorrow. It also offers our first look at the Spider-Tracer that belongs to Tom Holland's webslinger. For those who aren’t familiar with Marvel Comics, the Spider-Tracer is a small electronic device that tracks objects or individuals. The device was first introduced in 1964’s Amazing Spider-Man #11.
Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) is not just acting as Peter Parker's mentor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe; he’s also providing him with all of the tech support he requires. It feels safe to assume that Tony gifted the device to Peter, along with his upgraded suit.
The teaser also offers some brief snippets of a tantalizing fight sequence on top of an aircraft that involves Holland's superhero and Michael Keaton's Vulture. Check it out below!
Apart from the trailer teaser, we have a new USA Today report about Keaton's Spider-Man: Homecoming character. Asked about Adrian Toomes, the 65-year-old actor said:
Some people see themselves as victims "” he sees himself a little bit like that. He probably would have a strong argument that he never got a fair shot "” a lot of “Why not me? Where's mine?”
According to the report, the July 7, 2017 release will have The Vulture and his aides – the Shocker (Bokeem Woodbine) and the Tinkerer (Michael Chernus) – selling weapons made from scavenged alien artifacts and stolen advanced tech. Co-producer Eric Hauserman Carroll said that Keaton's character "has a bone to pick" with RDJ's character, and "sort of becomes the dark Tony Stark". Check out a new look at Toomes below!
