Leslie Jones Asks Ryan Reynolds for a Role in Deadpool 2!

Leslie Jones wants a role in Deadpool 2!

Saturday Night Live alum Leslie Jones found herself in the spotlight this year after starring in Sony Pictures' Ghostbusters, but it looks like she isn't done with big franchise movies yet. The comedian/actress has expressed her desire to land a role in 20th Century Fox's Deadpool 2!

In a recent Twitter post, Jones asked Ryan Reynolds - who not only plays the Merc With a Mouth, but also serves as a producer – for a role in the upcoming sequel to this year's R-rated superhero blockbuster. She also had a suggestion for what kind of character would be the best fit for her. Check out her tweet below!

If a November report is to be believed, cameras will start rolling for Deadpool 2 – working title Love Machine – by January 2017 in Vancouver, Canada. While the studio hired John Wick co-director David Leitch to helm the highly anticipated sequel after original director Tim Miller's sudden departure, they have yet to cast roles that include Cable and Domino.

Considering the tone of the Deadpool movies, someone like Leslie Jones could be a great addition to the sequel. The dynamic between Jones and Reynolds would surely be entertaining. If she eventually lands a role in Deadpool 2, we’re sure that they won’t refrain from poking fun at Ghostbusters, just as they cracked wise about Reynolds' Green Lantern in the original movie.

Apart from Ghostbusters, Jones has starred in a number of other comedy movies, the most notable being Top Five, Trainwreck, and Masterminds. She also has a voice role in the animated musical comedy Sing, which releases later this year.
