Kevin Feige Sides with James Gunn. Warner Bros Shows Interest in Hiring Him.

Besides the apology issues when the scandal started, James Gunn hasn't talked about his firing from Marvel. Nonetheless, those who know him and have worked with him have quickly jumped in his defense.

Thus, the entire cast of the Guardians of the Galaxy has sided with James Gunn. Actors and personalities have also defended him. But it is very unlikely that Disney will backtrack on the decision.

The most recent reports say that Disney will cut all ties with the writer/director. This also means hiring someone else to write Guardians of the Galaxy 3. But James Gunn might have a very powerful ally in this particular battle.

And this ally is none other than Kevin Feige. Various reports say that the Marvel boss was utterly displeased by the firing of the director. But since this is already a done deal, Feige now wants continue Gunn's vision and use his Guardians of the Galaxy 3 script.

On the same issue, The Hollywood Reporter also says that Disney may have other plans for the director. While his firing from Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will remain, this doesn't mean that he won't be hired for another project.

In this way, Gunn might return to direct another MCU flick – maybe even a spin-off of the Guardians.

In any way, even if Disney won't use him in the future, there are other studios who want to work with James Gunn. According to the same source and unsurprisingly, Warner Bros is one of these studios.

But, of course, James Gunn will have to completely clarify his situation with Disney at first.

We wouldn't oppose any of these moves. Whether it'll be for the MCU or for the Worlds of DC, Gunn should continue to direct comic book movies.

But what do you think? What spin-off could he direct? And, if he moves at Warner Bros, what project could suit him the best?
