Marvel Studios has two movies coming out before Thor: Ragnarok, so the timing hasn’t been right to launch the November 2, 2017 release’s first trailer. But it appears that it’s ready to go, because Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 director James Gunn claims to have watched it already. The director is of the opinion that we’re in for the best Marvel Cinematic Universe trailer ever.
Following the release of the latest Justice League trailer, a fan on Twitter asked Gunn whether he’d seen it and what his reaction was. The director said that he "saw it a looooong time ago", and that he really liked it. Another fan asked if he’d seen a trailer for Thor: Ragnarok as well, and Gunn responded:
Yes. It might be the best @MarvelStudios trailer ever. https://t.co/6QS5CwMKqb

Like the movies themselves, MCU movie trailers are known for capturing audiences’ hearts. So the Thor: Ragnarok trailer must be a truly epic one to be a cut above the rest. Understandably, Gunn didn’t offer any details about the trailer’s content. But just knowing that a trailer is complete, and that it could be one of Marvel's best to date, already feels great.
Considering the fact that the Thor: Ragnarok plot revolves around the destruction of Asgard, we can expect a certain amount of gravity in the trailer. It will probably introduce us to Cate Blanchett's Hela. We’d love to see some action sequences featuring Thor and Hulk in the gladiatorial arena of Sakaar.
But it’s an MCU movie directed by Taika Waititi, so the trailer probably won’t be short on humor or color. It must be the right combination of elements for James Gunn to find it amazing.
While waiting for the trailer to arrive, you might want to check out some really cool promotional t-shirts featuring Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo's superheroes. Here are the images for you (via Comic Book Movie):
