Civil War will be the last touchstone until the Infinity War arrives - and this makes sense, because the MCU's protectors will never be as weakened as when its heroes are fighting each other. Even more, for such a long time, the third part of the Captain America trilogy has been called the third Avengers movie because of the number of heroes involved (basically, all of the Avengers are there, except for Thor and Hulk).

But despite this comparison, the producers, execs and everybody involved have time and time again said that this isn't an Avengers flick - and now we may know why. At Wizard World New Orleans, it was revealed how many main characters and superheroes the Infinity War movies will have.

Are you ready for this? Director Joe Russo said that he and his brother are breaking grounds with the Infinity War flicks not just because of their scale - but also because of the sheer numbers of characters involved: "We’re breaking ground on Avengers: Infinity War. We have a board with 67 characters on it." (via Comic Book Movie)

Of course, we don't believe even for a second that all of these heroes will be crammed into the first movie, with many maybe being introduced in the second part - but still, this is one great endeavor. Even if most of them will make just cameos, this is still an accomplishment.

Here is what the directors added: "But we will say this: People will not be disappointed in the amount of characters in the movie. The concept of Avengers: Infinity War is that the Marvel universe unites to battle the greatest threat to the world and universe that you've ever seen, and we're going to honor that concept." (via Comic Book Movie)

Can we take a wild guess about the characters of the Infinity War movies?

Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Loki, Captain America, Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Drax, Star Lord, Rocket, Gamora, Groot, Vision, Scarlet Witch, Ant-Man, Wasp, Spider-Man, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Black Bolt, Medusa - 23. Maybe the Defenders will also join (Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist), thus adding 4 more.

Then there are also the villains - Thanos being the biggest of them all. And, even if he is so powerful, he will certainly bring the Black Order in the Infinity War – + 5, then (Black Dwarf, Corvus Glaive, Ebony Maw, Proxima Midnight, Supergiant).

Only with these three groups we have 32 heroes and villains - who are the rest?
