The entire Marvel Cinematic Universe has led to a final confrontation with Thanos, the shared universe’s big baddie, as revealed in the post-credits scene of the first Avengers movie. So expectations are very high for 2018’s superhero flick, which will unite all of the superheroes we've met so far, and then some.
Fortunately, the Russos are directing. If Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War were any indication, the project is in good hands. They’ve already proved that they can handle big casts and even bigger storylines.
And Infinity War will be big. Thanks to Uproxx, we now know where some of the movie’s scenes will be set. Via a new casting call, we can safely assume that Infinity War will travel to Wakanda (Black Panther's kingdom), to Asgard, and to one of the planets from Guardians of the Galaxy.
Check it out below:
Aliens (Background/Extra) Males & Females, 18-50. Tall, slender, or athletic build. Must be comfortable being painted (including on your face & any exposed body parts). All ethnicities.
Obviously, James Gunn made the best use of body paint and tones in his Guardians of the Galaxy films.
Vikings (Background/Extra) Males & Females, 18-59. Especially looking for men with long hair & beards. Must be comfortable with fake blood and possibly special effects makeup. Caucasian (obviously, Asgard).
Warrior Woman (Background/Extra) Female, 20-39. Athletic build, 5'9"-5'11", waist 26-28, hips 37-39. Looking for someone with a high top fade or willing to cut hair on just the sides and wear a wig. African-American (most likely to portray the Dora Milaje, Black Panther's personal bodyguards).
Of course, given the scope of the movie, it’s no surprise that we’ll go to either Wakanda (one of the most powerful countries on the MCU's Earth, thanks to its vibranium-enhanced technologies) or Asgard (protectors of Earth AND the place where the Tesseract is stored).
Nonetheless, it’s exciting to know ahead of time where the story will take us.
