Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Trailer Introduces Kurt Russell

If you thought the previous Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 trailers were awesome, the one that was just released will blow you away! This final clip packs in more action and laughs than the previous ones, while also providing more hints as to what will unfold in the sequel.

The entire team is present. The relationship between Star-Lord and Gamora is seemingly moving forward; Rocket and Groot are still playing at being bounty hunters, saving the galaxy in the process; and Drax is drawing laughs with his social awkwardness.

We also see the evolution of the relationship between the Guardians and Gamora, a former enemy who is working to discover what keeps the team together despite their differences. Mantis isn't as present in this clip, but we do get to see what Ayesha is planning.

But the biggest reveal comes at the end of this latest Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 trailer. Check it out below:

It's Kurt Russell as Ego’s human form, looking awesome, as always! He reveals that he’s been searching for his son for quite a while. This might raise some questions (Was he really searching for Peter Quill?), but we can leave those aside for now.

In addition to the trailer, James Gunn debuted a new Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 poster on his Twitter account. Check it out below!

Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 will be released on the 5th of May…

…and it won't have any problems at the box office. Alien: Covenant (aimed at a different type of audience) arrives two weeks later, and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is set for release at the end of the month (But, really, did anybody ask for another Pirates of the Caribbean movie?).
