We’re sure everybody is excited to see what happens next with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Besides the amazing first part, which exceeded everybody's expectations, the team literally took Comic Con by storm, with the best panel of the year. The chemistry between the stars is amazing, James Gunn has kept us in the loop with everything (sort of), and there are three new heroes joining the team. And then there is Kurt Russell.
What's not to be excited about?
Well, James Gunn finally tweeted a revealing concept art piece for Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. II, via Empire Magazine. And it is an interesting piece, in which the team takes on a giant tentacled space monster. Yes - Guardians of the Galaxy are going there! Check it out below!

So, once again, James Gunn shows us that the movie isn't going to take itself too seriously, if this is an actual scene from it. And this is a great thing - the Guardians of the Galaxy, the ragtag team of reformed baddies, should be the ones to bring the levity to the MCU.
But the question is: If this is indeed a scene from Guardians of the Galaxy, what is that monster? And the answer is pretty simple: Does it matter? Most likely, as many fans say, this must be the introduction scene, which is meant to show us how cool the guardians have become. Of course, there is a downside to it, especially if this monster isn’t referenced again throughout the movie"¦
But this does open a new possibility - what if this is just one of the monsters the Guardians of the Galaxy meets during the movie? What if, for example, a pack of Leviathans are seen somewhere in the background? This would be great, since it would better connect the Guardians with the rest of the MCU.
