2016 promises to be a pretty busy year. But if you think you can catch your breath between two smash hits, think again. Make time to slot in Gambit. This will be the third X-Men movie to be released in 2016, after Deadpool and X-Men: Apocalypse.
On the other hand, further news from Marvel: now we also know the release date of Fantastic Four 2. No, it's not going to happen in 2016, but it will happen, rest assured. Read below to see the news.
Gambit: a new breakthrough for Channing Tatum
Channing Tatum will bring Gambit on the big screen for the first time in X-Men: Apocalypse. We'll see that one in theaters on May 27th, 2016. He's standalone appearance is programmed for October 7th, 2016. Gambit will conclude the series of 3 spinoffs set for 2016, if we take into account Deadpool, bound to arrive in theaters on February 12th, 2016.
Gambit, of course, is not the end. We also know for certain March 3rd, 2017 will see the release of Wolverine 3. Wondering what's going to happen next? Another movie of the X-Men franchise will make it to the big screen on July 13th, 2018.
Now, back to Fantastic Four. The clock is ticking on the reboot of the 2005 flick, and yet, no trailer was issued up till now. However, if you were wondering about the sequel, you can take that off your chest. Fantastic Four 2 will be released on June 2nd, 2017. That great news - or it could be, if we knew how this year's movie (programmed for August 7th) looks like. Which we don't, given the lack of the trailer or of the slightest teaser or promo.
So, there you are: make sure you squeeze in Gambit and the other four movies of the X-Men franchise on your perhaps already jam-packed agenda. Will you make room for Fantastic Four 2 too? Jump in and share your thoughts with us!
