A new DC hero may soon be joining in on the action on Fortnite. As reported by Forbes, some new leaks have revealed that Green Arrow is set to be revealed as a character skin on the DC side.
Normally, leaks are hit and miss. But images for all of the mentioned character skins have made their way online via various leaks. So, while we can’t confirm this to be 100 percent true as of this writing, the needle appears to be pointing in the correct direction. Have a look.

This wouldn’t be the first time characters from the DC universe have appeared in Fortnite. Far from it. The wildly popular video game has played host to the likes of Joker, Harley Quinn and more. Marvel has also had quite a few characters featured in the past, including Thanos. This year also saw many members of The Avengers appear in the game as part of a major event, Nexus War.
Fortnite is one of the most popular games on the planet at this point in time. As such, major corporations, such as Disney and Warner Bros., seem happy, if not eager, to partner with the game to have its characters appear. Why not keep the ball rolling?
Getting into specifics, Green Arrow is a logical choice. Arrow ran for nearly a decade on The CW, popularizing the hero in the mainstream. As such, it would make as much sense as just about any other hero, in terms of DC deciding to bring a figure into the game.
On the Marvel side, Black Panther, Captain Marvel and Taskmaster were all made available as part of the Marvel Rotyalty and Warriors pack. The fact that they leaked ahead of time suggests Green Arrow is also valid. It has been speculated that the plan was to release Black Panther earlier in the year. However, with the unexpected passing of Chadwick Boseman, who played the character on screen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the release may have been delayed.
As for Captain Marvel, Brie Larson’s solo movie, along with her appearance in Avengers: Endgame, helped solidify the character as a mainstream superhero favorite. It makes every bit of sense to expand that to the video game side of things. On that same note, Taskmaster is set to be the main villain in Black Widow, which hits theaters next year. Providing the villain with more exposure to tie things into the MCU film also makes sense.
