The TV spots for Marvel’s Doctor Strange are preparing us for the film’s November 4 release, and the newest spot showcases the Sorcerer Supreme’s ability to manipulate time itself.
Doctor Strange is the next MCU installment of many planned by Marvel in the next few years. It follows neurosurgeon Dr. Stephen Strange, who learns about mystical threats facing the world after his hands are damaged in a car accident. He’s tasked with taking on these threats and protecting Earth from forces unknown.
The new clip was also posted to Marvel Studios’ Twitter page with the inverted caption, “You think you know how the world works…Watch and expand your mind.” It features some trippy footage and dialogue running backward as Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) appears to halt and then reverse the passage of time.
Check out the spot here:

When the ad is played backward, the dialogue can be heard properly. IGN posted a helpful video of the spot run in reverse, which you can watch on their site.
It looks like we’ll be seeing lots of time tricks in Strange. The movie promises to be quite different from what we’ve seen so far in the MCU.
What do you think of the new spot?
