In Deadpool 2 news, we have a brand new international poster and a report that apparently dropped the name of Julian Dennison's character.
Social media discussion has been rife with speculation about the mysterious Deadpool 2 character, and the trailers indicated that Dennison (Hunt for the Wilderpeople) is playing a mutant who’s somehow able to create fire. In addition, it looks as though he’ll cause a future catastrophe that will prompt Cable to travel back in time to kill him in a pre-emptive strike.
Fans variously suggested that the character might be Thunderbird, Pyro, or Kid Apocalypse. However, a new Revenge of the Fans report asserted that it’s Rusty Collins, aka Firefist.
Although 21st Century Fox allegedly threatened him with legal action for sharing details on a Deadpool 2 test-screening, ManaByte’s Jerry Conrad tweeted that he agreed with Revenge of the Fans:
This is not a rumor; it's true. https://t.co/lZYOxOiF1D

Bob Layton and Jackson Guice introduced Rusty in Marvel Comics in the 1980s. When his mutant power of psionic pyrokinesis began to manifest itself, he accidentally burned a woman and the cop who attempted to arrest him, but nonetheless got away.
Scenes from the trailers show Dennison's character wearing a Mutant Inhibitor Collar, which may indicate that something similar to the comic book scene will take place in Deadpool 2. In other shots, the character stands in the street with police flashers in the background. So the report might actually carry some weight, but it’s still wise to take it with a grain of salt.
In addition to all of this, 20th Century Fox Italy released a new poster of Cable, Domino, and Deadpool to promote David Leitch’s May 18 release (May 15 in Italy). Roughly translated, the tagline reads, This time, he does not come alone.
