While the Ed Brubaker and Steve Epting version of the Civil War featured quite a few outstanding moments, there is one which leaped out of the pages and remained as one of the most iconic scenes ever - Captain America apparently meeting his end, after Crossbones sniped him.
At the Wizard World New Orleans, directors Joe and Anthony Russo were present on the stage, with some of the stars of Captain America: Civil War - Chris Evans, Frank Grillo, Hayley Atwell, Jeremy Renner and Anthony Mackie. In a way, this is the usual kind of gathering. However, the Q&A portion of the panel may have revealed a bit more than the powers that be wanted.
One audience member asked each of those present if there is a particular scene they'd like to shoot. Frank Grillo took the opportunity and swiftly said that he'd, "like to kill Captain America". Did anybody just drop the mic? Of course this might just be a teasing and misleading of the fans, since everybody knows that this was an epic Civil War scene. But is it so?
Of course, the audience cheered in anticipation. But it cheered even louder when Joe Russo added, "we may or may not have filmed that scene, though." Mind blown, right? Considering that Chris Evans is signed for the Infinity War movie, is he actually going to be killed in Captain America: Civil War?
We are speechless. Thus far we believed that Civil War will be the last time we see Bucky Barnes in the MCU. Can Joe Russo's words mean exactly that? We can twist them (especially since Bucky has quite a lot of shield action, as seen in the trailer), but ultimately it will still be just a supposition.
