It has been quite a while since we had something official released about Captain America: Civil War. And, while we are still waiting for the second trailer to drop anytime now, a new official piece of art work was released. Well, we guess we'll have to do with just that.
We're not actually complaining, since the piece looks amazing (even if it might not be). But we wanted something a bit more, since Civil War will be released in about 3 months, on the 6th of May 2016. So Marvel should step up their game in the following weeks. More than likely, 2016's Superbowl will bring the much awaited trailer.
But what do we mean when saying this new piece of art is a bit disappointing? Well, we say that because, unlike previous concept pieces, this one seems to be a mess, since the teams aren't properly determined. For that matter, we have no idea who is fighting who"¦ But you can check it out for yourself, below!
Why is Black Widow trying to kick Iron Man? Weren't they supposed to be in the same team? Or is this a hint that she'll change allegiances during the Civil War? Is Falcon fighting both War Machine and Vision? Isn't that overkill? Why is Captain America's suit melting and why is Ant-Man so big?!? As said, there are quite a few issues with this new concept art"¦
And no - don't try to spot Spider-Man just yet. As the Russo bros said, Marvel and Sony still haven't figured out what their plans for the web-crawler are"¦ That's a couple of months before the movie's release"¦
In other news, reshoots for Civil War are underway. There were a couple of pics leaked from the set, but they were quickly taken down. In them there were a bruised Captain America, as well as another pic of Chadwick Boseman.
Captain America: Civil War - man, the marketing campaign should begin any day now"¦ any day"¦
