Captain America: Civil War was one of the biggest MCU hits this year, and thanks to Marvel artist Andy Park, we’re still seeing new material from the film’s early stages.
Park, who has been sharing behind-the-scenes Marvel concept art on social media lately, recently tweeted a concept painting for Civil War that features Ant-Man in giant form, taking on the far smaller Captain America.

The painting is particularly interesting, because it pits Ant-Man against Captain America in the big airport fight scene, while in the final cut of the film, Steve Rogers and Scott Lang are on the same side of the registration conflict, facing off against Tony Stark and the rest of Team Iron Man.
Perhaps these two characters were originally meant to be enemies in Civil War, and the concept art is based on an earlier version of the story. Or maybe a deleted scene on the DVD/Blu-ray will explain Park’s work.
You can follow Park on Twitter here if you’re hoping to see more concept art from Civil War. The movie will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on September 13.
