UK-based artist David Paget has created a very impressive wall painting inspired by Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War. The painting, which took around 160 hours to complete, features a fight scene with Cap himself, Iron Man, Black Panther, Falcon, and Bucky. Paget uploaded a time-lapse video to YouTube showing his process from start to finish, and it’s incredibly cool to watch the painting come to life.
Discussing what inspired him to paint the piece, David said:
I’m a big fan of the artwork produced for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially the high-end marketing images created by artists like Ryan Meinerding and Andy Park. I recently moved house and thought it would be fun to paint one of the designs on my office wall. I chose the image from Captain America: Civil War because it had a variety of heroes that look very unique.
This is definitely one of the coolest home offices we’ve ever seen. Check out the time-lapse video here:
“I mainly work as a digital artist these days,” David added, “so it was refreshing to work with traditional paint again.”
Paget is (of course) a huge Marvel fan; his favorite Marvel movie so far is Guardians of the Galaxy, and his favorite heroes are Spider-Man and Daredevil.
