Captain America: Civil War is one of the greatest Marvel productions and long-waited by the fans. If you think that is just a commercial description, well, latest news confirm that Civil War is really the Marvel movie you should be excited about. The Phase Three opener is in the last stages of post-production and the Marvel crew is back on set for the final adjustments.
We don’t think they will change much as BMD writes that their sources reported how Captain America: Civil War was rated by test audiences. They loved the movie so much that it will probably set higher standards than Captain America: Winter Soldier. “In fact, the only thing they disagree on is whether the movie tested as well as or better than Captain America: Winter Soldier, which had previously been the best-testing Marvel movie.” (BMD)
The publication adds that “the movie doesn’t pull any punches in the third act, and that if Marvel execs had been concerned about the film going dark places, these stellar test screenings have alleviated all those fears,” as their sources reported.
Will Civil War be as great as this report suggests?
Of course, there are different opinions, but let’s take this as a positive buzz for an upcoming Marvel movie. There is also excitement around the introduction of Spider-Man and Black Panther in the movie. Spider-Man’s appearance is as mysterious as Luke Skywalker’s in The Force Awakens, yet the Russo brothers talked about their perspective on him, saying that they want to portray him differently. Black Panther is a surprise for many fans, and the trailer was highly acclaimed.
There must be something great about Captain America: Civil War, so the test might reflect reality more than we expect.
Here's the official synopsis in case you haven’t read it yet:
“Marvel's "Captain America: Civil War" finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps"”one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark's surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.”
Civil War is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on May 6, 2016.
