Just recently, during San Diego Comic-Con, a lot of details about Black Panther were revealed, from the cast and their roles to Lupita Nyong’o’s leaked information about the plot.
“The story is that the Black Panther's leadership is really threatened by two foes who come together, and so Black Panther gets the help of the C.I.A. and the Dora Milaje to try and defeat the enemy," she said.
We already know who is going to play whom. Nyong’o will portray Okoye, Danai Gurira (The Walking Dead) is going to play the role of Nakia, and Michael B. Jordan joined the cast as the villainous Erik Killmonger.
Michael B. Jordan was hesitant about playing the role of a villain
"My only hesitation was playing a villain"¦It was always something that I've wanted to do. To play something completely different than any other character that I've ever played before. And under the right circumstances, this being it, you know. I feel safe. I feel safe to take those risks. Take those chances. That's what I'm about to do," Jordan said.
Creed and Fruitvale Station star Michael B. Jordan expressed his excitement about being a part of the Black Panther movie, adding, “It’s an honor to be a part of this project.” His excitement resides in the timeliness of the movie, with characters that have been there since the beginning of Marvel.
Regarding the other project (Creed) he’s been working on with Ryan Coogler, Jordan doesn’t know exactly where it is heading.
"I'm not sure yet. Honestly, it's another thing like he's busy doing [Black Panther], I'm in this world, so I know it's something that's gonna happen. I'm not sure exactly when, but it's something that we are talking about and thinking about because it's such an important story."
