Marvel and DC - picking the best between the two has always been debatable and never really conclusive since there is a huge portion of fans standing on the side of each of them. You get to see the same scenario while talking about movies based on both comic book universes.
Last month, we got an explanation from Warner Bros President Greg Silverman on how he thinks Marvel and DC movies differ. We also got a response for it from Marvel President Kevin Feige. Now, our new Batman - Ben Affleck – has got something in his mind to add to this debate!
In a recent interview published in the print edition of Entertainment Weekly's Comic-Con issue, the new Caped Crusader has shared his own thoughts on how Marvel and DC movies differ. He said (via ComicBookMovie):
"It is more mythic, it is more grand in that way, and it is a little more realistic. Just by their nature, these films can't be as funny or as quick or as glib as Marvel movies."

Well, that doesn't seem to be a controversial statement at all - quite right as far as I am concerned. But the director of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice - Zack Snyder - also said something in an interview published in the same issue - which might not seem to be as pleasant as Ben Affleck's comments!
Zack Snyder On Marvel and DC Difference
Snyder's Man of Steel was criticized heavily for the extent of death and destruction that was presented in the movie. While talking about such criticisms, Snyder might have railed against Marvel movies - however, he hasn't uttered the word "˜Marvel' once! Here's what he said:
“I wаs surprisеd bеÑаusе thаt's thе thеsis оf Supеrmаn fоr mе, thаt yоu Ñаn't just hаvе supеrhеrоеs knоÑk аrоund аnd hаvе thеrе bе nо ÑоnsеquеnÑеs. Thеrе аrе оthеr supеrhеrо mоviеs whеrе thеy jоkе аbоut hоw bаsiÑаlly nо оnе's gеtting hurt. Thаt's nоt us.”

Snyder On Expiry Date Of Superhero Movies
For a while now, the love for superhero movies has creeped up higher than ever among the fans and that is clearly reflected by the growing number of superhero movies that are being made each year by different studios. The DC Cinematic Universe is just one movie old while the Marvel Cinematic Universe has already released eleven, and the twelfth one arrives just in a couple of weeks.
Is there any kind of a fear that the moviegoers will start keeping at arm's length from this particular genre of movies? Here's what Zack Snyder thinks:
"If [this gеnrе] tаlks аbоut us аnd thе humаn Ñоnditiоn, whiÑh I think hоpеfully thеsе mоviеs dо in sоmе wаy, thеn I think thаt it dоеsn't rеаlly hаvе аn еxpirаtiоn dаtе. But l dо bеliеvе thе sоrt оf mаss-mаrkеtеd Ñоnsumеrist vеrsiоn Ñоuld gеt thin if yоu'rе nоt Ñаrеful. Wе'vе just gоt tо bе Ñаrеful."
