Readers, be warned! The following article may contain MAJOR Avengers 4 SPOILERS!!
Those who attended Disney's presentation at CineEurope 2018 were apparently lucky enough to view the first footage from the still-untitled Avengers 4.
Unfortunately, those who missed CineEurope weren’t as lucky, even after several days of speculation that the first Captain Marvel trailer would show up online on June 13. That never happened, but Marvel and Disney did screen a featurette for that movie at CineEurope. As if that weren’t enough, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that they also provided fans with an exclusive glimpse of Avengers 4.
THR didn’t go into detail about the content of the footage shown, and neither did the other trades. But Reddit user @DeadlyDiabetes, who knows someone who allegedly attended the Disney presentation at CineEurope, may have let the cat out of the bag. The Redditor’s post suggests that although the Captain Marvel featurette offered behind-the-scenes footage, the studios opted to show scenes footage from Avengers 4:
The Avengers 4 footage showed Ant-Man talking with Tony Stark about a new piece of technology that will allow them to go to multiple realities and collect the Infinity Stones.
This new piece of technology may be what Hank Pym is working on in Ant-Man and the Wasp for the purpose of rescuing Janet van Dyne from the Quantum Realm. Some time ago, the Russo Brothers told ScreenRant that Peyton Reed’s narrative in Ant-Man and the Wasp has a strong connection with Avengers: Infinity War.
But keep in mind that this is a Reddit post, and Reddit posts often contain inaccurate information based on rumor. If his recent tweet is any indication, MCU Cosmic's Jeremy Conrad is certain that this one is completely off the mark:
Just got confirmation that this is fake. https://t.co/pTMk5vv3dv
