Wait! They Loved Tom Holland!
More recently, Variety correspondent Justin Kroll suggests that the negotiations could be for a test contract before Asa comes in to audition. In the same tweet, Devin Faraci of Badass Digest comments that Tom Holland went through the procedure already and that the studios have liked him as well!
I do know that Asa along with Tom had test offers negotiated before they read at all

It's hard to suggest what you should believe. I think that, as Captain America: Civil War has already kicked off filming, we may get introduced officially by Marvel and Sony to our new Spider-Man "“ either it be Asa or Tom – within a month. I still strongly believe that Civil War will introduce Spidey! What do you think though?
