The first Ant-Man movie was a modest success in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it served to introduce the idea of a multiverse via the Quantum Realm. But that’s not all. The movie also introduced the younger Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) via breakthrough CGI. It appears that Ant-Man and the Wasp will again explore its main characters’ past.
A new casting call released by Omega Underground revealed that director Peyton Reed is in search of extras to appear in flashback scenes. The scenes may be linked with either Captain America: Civil War or Paul Rudd's Scott Lang.
Omega Underground reported that Ant-Man and the Wasp is looking for extras of all ethnicities to play prisoners and guards, to begin shooting on the 31st of August:
*PRISONERS*
-Males (25-49)
-Tough, rough convict look.
-Tattoos are fine, but need clearance.
-All Ethnicities
*PRISON GUARDS*
-Males (30-49)
-5'10-6'2
-Lean/Shaven
-All Ethnicities
Again, this could be connected to Civil War, which ended with Scott Lang’s imprisonment on the Raft, together with those who aided Captain America. However, it could also be a flashback scene from when Paul Rudd's character was in prison, so right before the events of the first Ant-Man movie.
A third – and unlikely – possibility is that Ant-Man and the Wasp will see a recently freed Lang on the run and ending up in a prison for common criminals again. We say this is unlikely because General Ross knows who Scott Lang is and knows what he is capable of.
