3. Ant-Man Can Control Ants

Much like in the comics, the tiny superhero can communicate with ants. As director Peyton Reed said later on, all these ants will be CGI: winged carpenter ants, bullet ants and fire ants.

Granted, we only caught a few glimpses of this ability, but it is there and this is very important for the character in itself.

4. Hank Pym Is A Mentor

Granted, the first Ant-Man trailer was rather dull, and that is mainly because of Michael Douglas's Hank Pym monologue. However, this also reveals something else: Hank Pym didn't just hire Scott Lang for a job, but it also teaches him how to take the reins and become a superhero.

As Kevin Feige later on said, this is the first Marvel movie in which the torch is passed from one generation to another. Obviously, this metaphorical torch also refers to the fact that the old Marvel roster will be replaced by a new one. And Ant-Man is the first movie to introduce a new superhero.

5. Marvel Can Actually Release a Dull Trailer

Let's be frank "“ the trailer for Ant-Man is a rather generic one, with just a few glimpses that could actually tell us that this is indeed a superhero movie.

But this trailer alone, in all its dullness, cannot speak for the entire movie "“ which is still about 6 months away from being released.
