Ben Affleck will hopefully pull off an unprecedented Batman in the upcoming Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Right after the completion of shooting, the news was spread by both Larry Fong and by Zack Snyder. Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice was, beyond any shadow of a doubt, a wrap.
However, soon after completion of shooting (December 12th, 2014), Oneheadlightink published an ad. The ad gave rise to controversy and speculations about the real state of filming: is Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice a wrap, or is shooting still in progress?
A controversial ad: a young Ben Affleck sought after by Warner Bros.
This is what the ad reads: "Midthunder Casting is conducting a talent search for a Warner Brothers feature film which will heavily feature two young boys in SAG principal roles; one Caucasian 12 year old boy (to portray a young Ben Affleck) and one Caucasian 10 year old boy.
Both boys must have extensive WUSHU, KUNG FU, or PENCAK SILAT training and experience; however, they will consider high level (state - world champion) competitors in all martial arts forms.
Those qualified and interested must send photos and video clips of fighting skills, training and competitions, as well as contact info and city/state in which they reside to: [email protected]
Southwest region preferred - Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, Utah
Deadline to submit: Monday 12/15/14, 5pm
Pay is $880/day or $3,053/week
Tip: Title your email with child's age, city and type of Martial Arts practiced."
It was, of course, assumed that a younger version of Ben Affleck would have to make for a younger version of Bruce Wayne in the keenly awaited spinoff. But nothing like that is actually specified. Everybody read too much into this ad.
Do we know for sure Dawn of Justice needs a younger Bruce Wayne? On the other hand, can we be certain a younger Affleck is not for BVS? Of course not. What's your take on this matter? Do you believe Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice will feature Bruce Wayne at a younger age?
