The photo, dropped by Kitana FanPage on Facebook, reveals the addition of a new actress to Wonder Woman's cast roster.
It's the Canadian martial artist, stuntwoman, and actress Samantha Jo who can be seen in this set photo dressed as an Amazon warrior. Is she serving as a stunt double? No, the actress, who is best known for portraying Kitana in the web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy, has a role in Wonder Woman.
According to her IMDb profile, Samantha Jo is playing a high ranking Amazon general named Euboea. In Wonder Woman comics, the character is a minor one, but she has appeared in no less than 39 issues., and is a good friend of Diana Prince. Wonder Woman won't be the first DC Extended Universe movie in which Samantha Jo appears. The 25-year-old actress portrayed Car-Vex, a member of General Zod's Kryptonian Warrior Guild, in Man of Steel. She also served as stunt double for Antje Traue's Faora in the Zack Snyder flick.
Wonder Woman is scheduled to release on June 2, 2017. The movie features Gal Gadot as the titular superhero; Chris Pine as her love interest, Steve Trevor; Connie Nielsen as her mother, Queen Hippolyta, Robin Wright as her aunt, General Antiope; and Lucy Davis as her best friend, Etta Candy.
