Wonder Woman - First Official Still and Details

Wonder Woman has officially began filming, for a 23^rd of June 2017 release date - to celebrate this, Gal Gadot (who will bring the Amazonian Princess to life for the first time next year, in Batman v Superman) celebrated this with a first official pic on her Twitter account. With the caption 75 years in the making, we can only share her excitement.

Obviously, there aren't too many things known about this movie - other than the fact that it will take place in different timelines, one of them being one of the World Wars. There are rumors, as always when it comes to such big productions, rumors which say that Ares will be the main antagonist of the movie. Sean Bean is rumored to take on the mantle of the God of War, while Eva Green is also rumored to play a villain of some sorts.

But these rumors may be put to rest now. Today Warner Bros has also released an official statement, which contains the main actors who will appear in the movie. And guess what - there are no Beans and Greens in there!

BURBANK, Calif."” Principal photography is underway on Warner Bros. Pictures' Wonder Woman feature film, the highly anticipated action adventure from director Patty Jenkins ("Monster," AMC's "The Killing"), starring Gal Gadot (the "Fast & Furious" movies) in the role of Diana Prince/Wonder Woman. The character will make her big screen debut this spring in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," but the new film will mark her first time headlining a feature.

The film also stars Chris Pine (the "Star Trek" films) as Captain Steve Trevor, Robin Wright ("The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," Netflix's "House of Cards"), Danny Huston ("Clash of the Titans," "X-Men Origins: Wolverine"), David Thewlis (the "Harry Potter" films, "The Theory of Everything"), Ewen Bremner ("Exodus: Gods and Kings," "Snowpiercer"), SaÃ¯d Taghmaoui("American Hustle"), Elena Anaya ("The Skin I Live In") and Lucy Davis ("Shaun of the Dead").

The film is being produced by Charles Roven, Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder, with Richard Suckle, Stephen Jones, Wesley Coller, Geoff Johns and Rebecca Roven serving as executive producers.

Joining Jenkins behind the camera are director of photography Matthew Jensen ("Chronicle," "Fantastic Four," HBO's "Game of Thrones"), Oscar-nominated production designer Aline Bonetto ("AmÃ©lie," "A Very Long Engagement," "Pan"), and Oscar-winning editor Martin Walsh ("Chicago," "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit," "V for Vendetta"), and Oscar-winning costume designer Lindy Hemming ("The Dark Knight" trilogy, "Topsy-Turvy").

Principal photography will take place on location in the UK, France and Italy.

Set to open in 2017, the Wonder Woman feature film is based on characters created by William Moulton Marston, appearing in comic books published by DC Entertainment. It will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

But there is more, though.

A couple of days ago, as if knowing that the shooting will start, a couple of pics with Wonder Woman were leaked online. This time, it is a different Amazonian Princess - portrayed by Megan Gale (Mad Max: Fury Road), this Wonder Woman was the main character of the never made Justice League Mortal.

And while the actress can be said to look the role, we can say that maybe it was better the movie wasn't made - her outfit screams B-movie material (especially the skirt, which is of the brightest blue ever). You can see it below!
