His Body "“ Way Too Many TATTOOS!

It seems there are eight different tattoos on The Joker's body "“ excluding the one on his ungloved hand and the one on his forehead. Eventually, there may be more than that as the photo doesn't reveal his back and below his stomach.
The "˜Hahaha' tattoos on the left part of his chest and on his left forearm are pretty similar in font with the ones used in The Killing Joke. There's the card tattoo on his left shoulder accompanied by the words "˜All in'. That's an iconic piece of imagery when it comes to the Clown Prince of Crime.
On the right part of his chest, there's the tattoo of a skull with a jester's hat "“ that seems to draw a connection with Harley Quinn. Maybe Harley gets the inspiration from that in Suicide Squad, not too sure though.
The "˜laughter' tattoos on his right forearm and on his left hand seem to be a nod to the classic laughter of the character.
The tattoo on his right bicep appears to be a robin, and that seems to bear the evidence of a prevailing rumor "“ The Joker has already killed a sidekick of the Caped Crusader. The tattoo is most likely a trophy of sorts after he killed Robin.
There are two tattoos on Leto's body that remain unclear. One of them is on his stomach while the other on the right side of his body just below the armpit.
His Hands "“ Purple Glove & A RING!

We've seen The Joker wearing purple gloves in most comic book stories prior to the mid-to-late 1990s. So, a purple glove isn't anything new with the character, except the fact that you only see it on the right hand while the other remains bare.
As mentioned previously, the ungloved hand, i.e. the left hand, bears a "˜laughter' tattoo. But the strangest thing about this hand is the ring that we see on the little finger. That's not at all Joker-esque. But obviously, there is some kind of a significance of the ring that is still hidden to us.
A Little Commentary

Well, there might be some fans who are finding it hard to welcome such a look of The Joker as it isn't anywhere near to any incarnation of the character. But a first-look photo isn't going to tell you all about a character.
You might remember that even Ledger's first-look photo went through serious criticism but eventually the character turned out to be one of the best incarnations we've ever seen. So, something similar may happen in case of Leto's version too.
