Along with The Batman and Justice League Dark, The Flash is among the most troubled comic book movies of the Modern Age. Although it was announced as part of 2014’s roster of DC Extended Universe movies, The Flash has lost two directors so far, and rumor has it that some of the main actors also want to drop out. On top of all of this, it’s been some time since the studio came out with any official news in regard to the project.
This is all happening despite the fact that Flash is one of the main Justice League members and is an extremely popular superhero (thanks, in part, to CW's successful series, The Flash). So what happens next is anybody's guess.
However, we’ve recently seen some new rumors dropped by members of the DCEU Leaks Reddit community. They’re saying that after numerous rewrites, a script for The Flash is now ready. And that’s not all! The bosses at Warner Bros. are highly satisfied with the script, and have termed it the perfect coming of age story:
The script has been completed and approved after MANY drafts and rewrites. The studio has finally approved a very good script, with some calling it “a perfect coming of age story regarding a young man trying to control his power”. There has not been that much more conversation regarding this film, although they have been very excited.
One of the Reddit users reported on a rumor that The Flash will draw inspiration from a specific Barry Allen story. The same user added that the movie won't be titled The Scarlet Speedster, as many others have previously said.
We should point out that we can’t be certain that any of these rumors are true. But they’re better than having no information at all, and we hope that they precede an official announcement from the studio.
