Zack Snyder might be the first director to helm a live-action Justice League movie, but there was a time when George Miller was set to direct one that eventually got cancelled. The movie was titled Justice League: Mortals, and they had even cast numerous actors for various roles, including D. J. Cotrona as Superman, Armie Hammer as Batman, and Megan Gale as Wonder Woman.
Teresa Palmer, who is best-known for appearing in The Sorcerer's Apprentice and Lights Out, was also among those who were cast. She signed on to play Talia Al Ghul, a character later played by Marion Cotillard, in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises.
A lot of time might have passed since then, but Palmer's interest in the role doesn't seem to have died. While speaking to Screen Rant recently, the actress reveals that she is still interested in portraying Talia Al Ghul in the DC Extended Universe. When she is asked about the idea of playing the character in Ben Affleck's The Batman, Palmer's response is enthusiastically positive:
I was going to be her. I think Marion Cotillard played, I don't know how to pronounce her last name by the way, um she played Talia Al Ghul in one of the Batmans, I remember thinking, okay well, obviously she's going to play Talia Al Ghul, but if there's ever an opportunity, I would absolutely love it. Put it out there. Can you put it out there for me?
Teresa Palmer seems really interested in playing Talia Al Ghul opposite Affleck's Batman, but would she officially campaign for the role? When the interviewer asks about this, the actress responds:
Can you make it a thing? I'm doing it.
