With trailers focused on Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn, Will Smith's Deadshot, Viola Davis' Amanda Waller, and Joel Kinnaman's Rick Flag released back-to-back in the last few days, we were wondering which character would be brought into the limelight in the next Suicide Squad trailer. Now, we have our answer!
Warner Bros. has finally launched the trailer most (if not all) of us have been waiting for, the one that has The Joker (Jared Leto) as its centerpiece!
Just like the last three trailers, this one runs for not more than a minute, but it does contain a great amount of new footage featuring the Clown Prince of Crime.
The new Suicide Squad trailer starts with The Joker unsmilingly asking, "Where is she?" He is told in response, "This is not just her. Everybody is disappearing."
We don't know the identity of the person who responds, because we don't get to see his face. But we definitely know that the "she" Mr. J is referring to is none other than his love-interest, Harley Quinn.
Then there's an interesting scene that reveals that Ike Barinholtz's mysterious character gets to meet The Joker in Suicide Squad. The guy we saw in a white suit to whom Leto's character says that he can't wait to show "his toys" in the earlier trailers is actually Barinholtz's character!
But what is he doing there? Who knows! It is unlikely that we will get our answer before August 5.
At one point in the new trailer, we see Rick Flag saying about The Joker, "He's a psychotic, antisocial freak." Isn't that an understatement? I, for one, definitely think so!
Then a portion of Bohemian Rhapsody starts playing in the background and brief snippets of numerous scenes start rolling by. In one scene, we see Harley Quinn and her "Puddin" locking lips.
There's another one in which we see The Joker saying, "Come on, baby!" But he doesn't say that to Harley, that's for sure! Check out the awesome trailer below!
