Suicide Squad has slipped a bit under the radar, following the release of Captain America: Civil War and the strong marketing campaign for X-Men: Apocalypse. However, despite that – and despite rumors that Warner Bros. is not satisfied with the product and wants it to be funnier and lighter – it’s still one of the most anticipated movies of the year.
And, seeing how well the trailers have been received, we can bet that Suicide Squad will be one of 2016’s hits.
This being said, the recent Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood gave visitors the opportunity to view props and costumes from the upcoming Suicide Squad flick. Thanks to various Twitter users (and CBM), we now have a closer look at the official costumes and props used in the movie. So check them out below!
During an interview with W Magazine, actress Cara Delevingne talked about her audition for Suicide Squad. And to say that it was an interesting and weird audition is to say nothing at all. Check it out below, together with the model's pictorial from the magazine (via CBM):
I met the director, David Ayer, at a hotel in London on a dark and stormy night. He didn't tell me anything about the movie. Instead, he showed me pictures of these amazing, enlightened, powerful, but very evil women. He spoke to me about addiction and mental illness, which are things I find very, very interesting. The next time I met David was at his house in L.A. He asked me to read a scene from Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? I love that play, and had acted in it at school when I was 17, so I was excited. Somehow, when we were doing the scene, I became livid. I hadn't felt rage like that in years. And then I got the part!
There still wasn't a script, but David asked me to go and try and find a forest and, if it was a full moon, get naked and walk through the woods with my feet in the mud, which I did. There wasn't a full moon, but I howled like a wolf. It would have been really funny if someone had seen me.
Lastly, Jared Leto talked about his role in Suicide Squad. And, as expected, he didn’t reveal anything at all about the Joker's role. However, we can bet that he has invested a lot in the making of the movie and in the creation of this new character. Check out the full interview below!
