Audition Tapes Reveal Shazam! Villains

In a surprising twist that will most likely lead to some serious scolding from Warner Bros., someone leaked some Shazam! audition tapes online. While they were just audition tapes, and probably didn't contain actual dialogue from the movie, they revealed some major plot points, including parts of Billy Batson’s back story. They also identified the film’s main antagonist!

So be warned: Here come some major spoilers! If you want know more, check it out, via Screen Rant!

Black Adam (DC Comics)

First and foremost, the movie will have a light and heartfelt tone. The dialogue hinted that Billy Batson was separated from his family, and his own mother didn’t recognize him.

But the kid won’t be alone. His friend Carlos knows that Billy is actually a superhero. So we can expect this relationship, Batson’s encounter with the Wizard, and his defense of the Shazam costume to all generate some laughs.

Most importantly, the audition tapes revealed that Mister Mind and Mister Atom would not be the movie’s villains, even though director David F. Sandberg teased via social media that they would be. But Shazam will have to fight the Seven Deadly Sins, aka the Seven Deadly Enemies of Man: Pride, Envy, Greed, Anger, Sloth, Gluttony, and Lust.

The Sins (Screen Rant)

In the comics, The Wizard trapped these powerful demons in the Rock of Eternity, so it’s safe to say that they’ll break free. Then we’ll need a new Shazam!

Shazam! will be released on April 5, 2019.
