With Ezra Miller signed to play Barry Allen, The Flash movie is set to release on March 16, 2018. Miller was already introduced to us as the Fastest Man Alive in the recently released Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He will also appear in Justice League Part One, which is slated for release on November 17, 2017.
But if recent rumors are to be believed, Warner Bros. has already begun casting various characters for The Flash. According to Umberto Gonzalez from Heroic Hollywood, casting is currently underway for the Scarlet Speedster's solo outing, and he's got a list of five characters who are supposed to appear. The list is based on a casting breakdown sent to various talent agencies.
However, the correspondent himself says to be cautious as he isn't sure about its authenticity. This is mostly because the description of the breakdown feels very similar to The CW's The Flash Season One storyline. But, it's still worth checking out, isn't it?
The five rumored characters for The Flash movie!
Iris West
In The Flash movie, Iris West is a reporter at The Central City Citizen. She's the one with "Christiane Amanpour's brains" and "Carrie Bradshaw's style". Actresses are currently testing for the part of this "overcaffeinated doe".
Eobard Thawne
The Flash movie’s Eobard Thawne is "Central City's Bill Gates" and "the smartest man in the room". And just like Eobard Thawne from The Flash Season One, he is confined to a chair. But in the movie, he is suffering from an "advanced degenerative disease" similar to Stephen Hawking’s.
Fred Chyre
Fred Chyre is "a gruff detective" who comes across Barry Allen for the first time at a crime scene. Unlike The CW series, in which he’s killed, here Fred becomes Barry's colleague and "the closest thing Barry has to a friend". He is investigating an unusual death at Thawne Laboratories.
Len Snart
Len Snart was once in the military, but eventually it turns out that he’s working for Eobard Thawne. The correspondent assumes that he serves as muscle, the way Callan Mulvey's Anatoli Knyazev did for Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman.
Jay Garrick
Jay Garrick was once a professor at Central University. He was fired from his job "for fringe science", and he was "working on the speed force program".
