RUMOR – Green Lantern Corps to Feature Three Leads!

Kyle Rayner will also feature in Green Lantern Corps

During last year's Comic Con, when Warner Bros. changed the Green Lantern movie’s title to Green Lantern Corps, we had confirmation that the 2020 flick will feature more than one lead. And since the announcement, we've been speculating about the appearance of two Green Lanterns from Earth - Hal Jordan and John Stewart.

But it seems like there won't be just be two from Earth in Green Lantern Corps. According to Latino Review, there will be three leads serving on the intergalactic force in the movie. Who is the third one? It's the one who made his debut in the pages of DC Comics back in 1994: Kyle Rayner!

Rayner was created by writer Ron Marz and artist Darryl Banks for Green Lantern vol. 3 #48 as part of the popular Emerald Twilight storyline. IGN ranked him 14th on their list of Top 25 Heroes of DC Comics in 2013. He was the most popular of the Green Lanterns into the mid-2000s.

According to the rumor, Warner Bros. is looking for an actor who is in the age range of Matt Damon for the role of Hal Jordan. They want younger actors for the John Stewart and Kyle Rayner roles in Green Lantern Corps.

The Justice League concept art didn't feature anyone from Green Lantern Corps. But earlier this year, Geoff Johns did confirm that they will appear in the two-part movie scheduled for release on November 17, 2017 and June 14, 2019. Since the movie has already kicked off its filming, they are likely to add the actor for at least one Green Lantern role in the next few months.
