Arnold Schwarzenegger may have landed a role in the upcoming Wonder Woman movie!
Recent Twitter posts by Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins and DC Films co-head Geoff Johns (who co-wrote the screenplay with Allan Heinberg) have fueled speculation that the Terminator star might appear in the movie. Both Jenkins and Johns have started following him on the social media network.
Of course, this could be nothing more than pure coincidence, but social media activities have helped fans predict casting news before. For example, we were able to foresee Joe Manganiello's casting as Deathstroke in The Batman and Rick Famuyiwa's signing on to direct The Flash movie. But, obviously, we can't be sure about Schwarzenegger just yet.
If Arnold Schwarzenegger has indeed secured a role in Wonder Woman, he is most probably lending his voice to a CGI character. Maybe that’s why Jenkins didn't require his services during production, which ended last May, or even in the following months. Don't forget that the June 2, 2017 release’s main antagonist is Ares, a CGI character. So the actor may even be serving as the voice of the God of War.
It’s also possible that Schwarzenegger will play a small role added during last November’s reshoots. Maybe his character will be introduced briefly in the movie and move on to a more significant role in a sequel or another future DC Extended Universe installment.
But maybe Patty Jenkins and Geoff Johns have simply become Schwarzenegger fans after watching him host the latest season of Celebrity Apprentice! The possibilities are endless"¦so don't get too excited (or annoyed)!
