We recently saw an extended international TV spot for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice that featured some new footage, including a Batman head-butting Superman scene. Now, we have more new footage from the Zack Snyder flick, but it’s not as action-packed. This is footage from the party sequence, showing a conversation between Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne. It was aired during Henry Cavill's recent appearance on Good Morning America.
There’s really not that much in this clip that is new, to be honest. It gives us just one bit of dialogue from Ben Affleck's playboy billionaire that we didn't hear before. But it's a cocky one, surely! When Clark Kent introduces himself as a reporter with the Daily Planet, Wayne says, "Daily Planet"¦Wait, do I own this one, or is that the other guy?"
And there's also Henry Cavill revealing some funny things related to Affleck and his Batsuit that happened on the Batman v Superman set. Check out the clip below!
Batman v Superman’s Clark Kent is truer to the comics!
In another recent interview with inSing TV, Henry Cavill said this about his version of Clark Kent:
It’s more the Clark Kent from the comic books, as opposed to the Richard Donner, Christopher Reeve version of Clark Kent. While that character is very much beloved, I feel that this Clark is more in line what that who is a journalist. He’s a reporter. There’s less of that light touch, less of that comedic touch to his performance or his presentation to the world.
The British actor went on to add that Clark Kent is very serious about certain issues. In Batman v Superman, he tries to convince Laurence Fishburne's Perry White that the Dark Knight is a bad guy whose story should be written.
Cavill claims that his Clark Kent is trying to "use his position as a reporter to make things better without having to resort to the cape". The actor thinks that there's "a more serious tone" compared to previous incarnations of the Superman alter-ego. Check out the interview clip below!
