A while ago, while promoting Jason Bourne, Matt Damon said that he'd like to appear in a superhero flick, but only if directed by Ben Affleck. While most of the fans took this as a joke and nothing but promotion for a movie, there may have been some truth to his statement. And that is because buddies Matt Damon and Kevin Smith practiced reading lines for three superheroes.
Of course, this is in no way a confirmation that Matt Damon is taking on a DC role. However, if the rumor existed before, now it’s only become stronger. What role would he play? Guy Gardner? Green Arrow? SHAZAM!? Well, check out the brief clip below!

Of course, we guess that nobody expected so much power coming from Matt Damon when reading for SHAZAM. And we guess that nobody actually expects him to portray this role - he is basically a taller dwarf when compared to Dwayne The Rock Johnson (he's Black Adam).
And then there is the Guy Gardner Green Lantern. As the rumor goes, we'll find out who will appear in the Green Lantern Corps movie by the time the San Diego Comic Con ends. However, Matt Damon just doesn't convince us. Yes, it would be fun to see a towering Ben Affleck's Batman punching Damon's Green Lantern. But really - just for that?
Lastly, there is Green Arrow. If the actor read at first with the same tone he read the Green Lantern lines, the ending was worth the while. The Jason Bourne actor nailed it - and Kevin Smith geeked out! So will Matt Damon become an older and armless Oliver Queen? This is the question that needs to find an answer. ASAP.
