Jeffrey Dean Morgan has collaborated with Zack Snyder on two occasions. The first one was Watchmen, in which he stole the show every time he appeared as the Comedian. The second one was in Batman v Superman, where he played Thomas Wayne in a flashback. But, apparently, Jeffrey Dean Morgan wants more from the DCEU - but not necessarily under the direction of Snyder. Thus, the actor has expressed his interest in becoming Thomas Wayne once again. But this time with a twist.
According to the actor, it would be cool if the Flashpoint were adapted to the big screen. And, if that were to happen, he would be game for portraying that version of the Batman. In the Flashpoint timeline, it was Bruce being killed, while his father became Batman and his mother became the Joker. So this would be an interesting take.
Furthermore, it would prove that the casting of Jeffrey Dean Morgan wasn't wasted on a simple cameo. Even more than that, the Flashpoint could also entirely reboot the DCEU. And this is an opportunity that should be taken into account, given the poor reception of the movies released thus far.
And there is also another possibility, a fan-service one if we may say so. If Jeffrey Dean Morgan becomes the Flashpoint Batman, he’ll square off against Lauren Cohan as the Joker. They’ve already worked together in The Walking Dead"¦in which he probably killed her.
Given the news released today, according to which Warner Bros. has discarded the plans of Part One and Part Two for Justice League, a Flashpoint isn't out of the question.
However, even if it does happen, quite a few movies and quite a few years will pass until then. What do you think? Should Warner Bros consider this possibility?
Should Jeffrey Dean Morgan become a menacing Batman?
Of course, fans have already suggested that Ben Affleck's Dark Knight is basically the Flashpoint version. But this is just what some angry fans are saying"¦
