When Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was brutally slammed by the critics, we saw BATFLECK turn into SADFLECK! But most of us would agree that Ben Affleck shouldn't be that disheartened. After all, he wasn't among the worst things that the movie had. In fact, his version of the Caped Crusader was one of the best parts of the Zack Snyder flick. Even an actor from the rival camp thinks so!
And that actor is Anthony Mackie, the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Falcon. He told Italian outlet Bad Taste (via Batman News), “When I saw that movie, I was really excited about it, because I said Ben Affleck would be the perfect Batman, and when you see the movie he is the best thing about the movie. He shines as Batman.”
Although I don't recall Mackie speaking highly of Ben Affleck before, I do remember that when he was asked to pick his side for Batman v Superman, he chose that of the Dark Knight. He said in that interview that Michael Keaton is his favorite Batman. But, obviously, Batman v Superman hadn’t been released then.
During the latest interview, Anthony Mackie also clarified his previous comments about Zack Snyder's Man of Steel. You can check out the interview clip below!
Other news from Batman v Superman: Swedish retailer CDON.com has revealed the runtime for the movie's R-Rated Extended Cut as 181 minutes, or 3 hours and 1 minute. So, it's exactly a half hour longer than the theatrical cut. And according to the listing, it includes 2 hours of bonus features from Batman v Superman.
