Dwayne Johnson is now in the public eye: the recent release of his latest acting feat, San Andreas, has occasioned interviewers to also pick his brains on DC's Shazam!, in which he's cast as Black Adam.
A couple of days ago, Dwayne Johnson teased his character's development, stating Black Adam is not a clear-cut villain.
Does that mean the screen version of Black Adam will be more of a flawed hero instead of a traditional supervillain? Well, I surely hope so.
On top of that revelation of sorts, The Rock - again - brings the latest about DC's venture programmed for 2019. And it concerns the very release of Shazam!.

Dwayne Johnson says Shazam! will arrive sooner in theaters
DC's slate is quite crammed: until 2020, there is the upcoming Dawn of Justice, then Suicide Squad, two Justice League movies, and four solos: Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash and Green Lantern.
Can they bring forward Shazam!?
Well, The Rock seems pretty confident. In his own words, "No, I don’t think it is going to be that far away. It’s going to be earlier than that. I don’t think 2019".
But regardless of DC's packed agenda, advancing Shazam! is still problematic: do they have a director? Do they have a lead man, an actor to play Shazam?
Plus, Dwayne Johnson himself will be busy filming for Furious 8 (set for release in 2017), on top of other ventures he's locked in for or which will occur on the way.
However, scroll away and hear The Rock speak in a video courtesy of L Baini!
Tons of enthusiasm from The Rock
We can assume Dwayne Johnson is privy to some inside information yet to be released to the public. So, his words might mean more than just overenthusiastic statements!
Now, what do you guys think? What are the chances for Shazam! to arrive in theaters earlier than 2019? Do you believe Dwayne Johnson spills out some info that will - hopefully - be subsequently confirmed? Have your say below! And stay tuned, we’ll bring you the hottest scoop on all things Shazam!
