While Batman v Superman is all about the two iconic male superheroes trading blows, the Dawn of Justice is about Wonder Woman coming to the rescue. We might have seen such an upset before, when Pepper Potts saved Tony Stark from Killian. But now, things are at a whole new level, with a female character front and center during the final act of a superhero flick.
We guess you knew that, as the trailers revealed a Superman without alternatives in the face of an enemy, a Batman feeling so out of place with his gun in the face of the same villain, and Wonder Woman revealing herself in her total gloriousness from behind the shield. Batman v Superman will be epic!
What do we know about her, other than the fact that she is about five thousand years old?
We don't know too much, and the trailers reveal that we know even less than we expected, since she is in no way an acquaintance of Bruce Wayne. But now new details have emerged - and these are details about Diana Prince, the Amazonian’s alter-ego.
Instagram user wonderwomanbr posted a pic with the bust of a Wonder Woman figure and a very interesting blurb:
The world's first and foremost female Super Hero, Wonder Woman at once embodies the unrivaled force and supreme grace of a born warrior, and the genuine compassion and understanding of a true humanitarian. As a symbol of equality, power, and truth, her natural confidence and unmistakable intelligence make her an unequalled, if unexpected, ally. The immortal Amazonian Princess Diana keeps her eyes and ears open for intrigue as the beautiful and mysterious antiquities dealer, Diana Prince.
So, there you have it. When she isn't kicking major villain butt as an immortal Amazonian princess, Wonder Woman is an antiquities dealer. And this is perfect, since it opens up quite a few possibilities - and the first that comes to mind is that she, in her travels, has encountered plenty of artifacts, some of which might connect to the big baddie from the Justice League flick (who is, from all indications, Darkseid).
