Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is, to be exact, four months and fifteen days away from hitting the theaters. And, the excitement, the anticipation among the fans about the second installment of DC Extended Universe, seems to be creeping up higher with each day passing by! We've already got a whole lot of stuff on the movie, but we aren't content - we want more!
And Warner Bros, too, wants offer us more on Batman V Superman. That's what we can assume from the words of Charles Roven, one of the producers of the March 25, 2016 release. In a recent interview with Collider, Roven promised that new footage of the movie is arriving "˜VERY SOON'! He added:
"I don't know how you define soon but certainly before the end of the year, how about that?"
1500 Visual Effects Shots in Batman V Superman!
According to the producer, the upcoming Zack Snyder venture has "˜about 1,500 visual effects shots', which is why the movie is still in its post-production stage. When the interviewer joked that he would want to watch a 4-hour version of Batman V Superman, here's how Roven replied:
"I don't know if you'll ever get the 4-hour version, but there may be something that's coming along that might be slightly less long than that."
What does that "˜SLIGHTLY LESS' mean? Three and a half hours? Three hours?
The Large Ensemble Cast is Not an Issue!
The interviewer addressed the concern among certain fans on the movie being overstuffed for such a huge ensemble of cast. Charles Roven claimed that he "˜really' doesn't think it's not an issue or anything that you need to be worried about. He explained:
"I think that the film is called Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, so there's a reason it's called Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and not Dawn of Justice: Batman v Superman. So you're gonna invest mostly in Batman v Superman and I think that you'll find other characters in there that you hopefully will want to see more of."
What else? The PRAISE episode! He uttered words of appreciation about the director, the writers Chris Terrio and David Goyer, and almost everyone involved with Batman V Superman!
