In less than a month, Batman v Superman will hit the big screen. And, despite so many people saying that everything of interest was revealed in the trailers, there are still many great unknowns. For example, one of them is the rumored Green Lantern appearance - according to a test screening leak from December, Batman v Superman will also feature the last remaining member of the Justice League.
According to that leak, Dan Amboyer (who is credited as a drone pilot in Batman v Superman and who lists his role on his website as Lt. Christie) is actually Hal Jordan, the most well-known of all of the Green Lanterns. During an interview with Pop Sugar, the actor talked about his experiences on the set. And, though he didn't reveal anything, he dropped several hints about his secret role.
Thus, the actor said that his first day on the set was like arriving on another planet. Did he mean that figuratively or literally? Well, it’s anybody's guess:
It was awesome. I got there right at the beginning of shooting and it was crazy because my first day people were showing me around and all of a sudden the Superman suit comes by "” and it's giant. It's not something you can hang up. So that was insane. But what I thought was really interesting was that they filmed a lot of it on film, not digital. So a lot of the sets were actually built. So, all of a sudden, you're on another planet, literally. Everything is so intricate and perfect. You think so much of that is just CGI and postproduction, but it was actually there.
But, if we take into account what he said later on, we might be able to make a more educated guess. Thus, besides saying that the character's name will be revealed in a tag on his costume in Batman v Superman and only then (because "it's kind of an undercover thing"), the actor also said that his favorite color is blue.
However, he then also added, "but I appreciate nature as well, and everything green."
At this point, there are two options. The first is that he is indeed portraying Green Lantern and that he was allowed to finally tease his role. The second one is that he is actually just a simple soldier, with Warner Bros tasking him with throwing the fans on the wrong track.
But what do you think?
