So, what is Batman’s weapon?
According to the above mentioned source, that item is, in fact a spear. But not just any kind of spear, but a very special one.
You must be thinking also that this might be the Holy Lance or the Spear of Destiny, who is also present in the DC comics. For once, in the comics, the spear made Hitler (yes, that Hitler) become immune to superhero powers and enabled him to control any superhero that came in his direct influence.
But it isn’t such a special weapon, just like it isn’t the spear that enabled Vandal Savage to take control of the Spectre. According to the source, it is instead a spear laced with Kryptonite.
As said, it isn’t known how Batman became aware of Superman’s weakness, nor is it known from where he has that element. Also, it isn’t known why Batman doesn’t have this weapon when he confronts the Man of Steel in the rain… So that pinch of salt might just be a spoonful.
