UPDATE – A couple of social media posts from two Arrow stars offer confirmation on whether the titular superhero will be seen having the iconic Green Arrow goatee in future and provide the first look at Neal McDonough’s Damien Darhk. Check these out at the end part of the article.
For Arrow Season 4, a number of characters and casts for them have already been confirmed. The list includes Captain America: The First Avenger star Neal McDonough as Damien Darhk, Bates Motel star Alexander Calvert as Anarky and Sean Saves the World star Echo Kellum as Mister Terrific. Now, there's one more!
Rev star Jimmy Akingbola has been confirmed officially as the DC supervillain Baron Reiter – aka Baron Blitzkreig for the fourth season of the CW series. The confirmation arrives to us via The Hollywood Reporter. Nothing more is stated while describing the character for Arrow Season 4 other than "˜an adversary for Oliver'. And the additional information that is provided is that Jimmy's recurring character will appear in "˜the show's prominent flashback scenes'.
In the comics, the character is the leader of criminal organization named Shadowspire which is allied to Symbolix - a similar organization whose leader is Vandal Savage. We already know that Savage is the main antagonist of the upcoming Arrow/Flash spinoff series Legends of Tomorrow. So, it will be interesting to see if Baron Blitzkreig has a similar knot with Vandal Savage in the CW's DC Shared Universe.

White Canary To Appear On Arrow First!
We already know that Caity Lotz's Sara Lance will return from the dead in Legends of Tomorrow, not as Black Canary, but as White Canary. But, the resurrection will not take place in the Arrow/Flash spinoff series – it will happen in the fourth season of Arrow! That's what the executive producer of Arrow Marc Guggenheim confirmed in a recent interview with E Online. According to the EP:
"The White Canary will be launched in the first few episodes of Arrow. 4×08, our typical crossover episode, will be doing a lot of heavy-lifting in terms of getting the Legends of Tomorrow characters set up and also seeing where they are with relation to The Flash. It’s a big episode."
That's fair enough - she was killed in Arrow, so she should also come alive in Arrow! Just kidding! It would have been quite shocking if they thought of not bringing her back to Arrow first, because her death was a driving force of the entire Arrow Season 3.

Season 4 To Deal With Magic & Mysticism!
While talking to reporters for a roundtable conversation at San Diego Comic Con International, lead actor Stephen Amell reveals that the upcoming season of the CW series will largely deal with "˜magic and mysticism'. Here's what the actor said (via Comic Book):
"So, what we are dealing with this year — and I wouldn’t say it’s as concrete as it was last year when it was like “The Theme: Identity!” — is magic and mysticism. And Oliver alludes very early on in the season that this is something that he’s seen before, so clearly that will play into this year’s flashbacks for him."
Amell also claimed that the next season of the CW series will be "˜interesting' because his character will be "˜a different guy' when he returns to Starling City. However, there's always a similarity that you'll get to see. The actor added (via Comic Book):
"When Oliver re-enters Starling City, it’s a different guy. That’s exciting for me because this will be our seventieth episode, so it’s exciting that he’s going to consider things differently. We think we see a different Oliver, but when the rubber hits the road, when push comes to shove, when the people that he cares about are in danger, that sort of primal instinct that he’s always had, I would suspect that it would rear its relatively handsome head."
Amell thinks his character will find out about his kid. Hit 4 to learn in details!
Oliver To Find About His Child!
The Canadian actor shared his thoughts on the teaser scene in The Flash which Oliver meets his child in a coffee shop. Amell stated that he wishes to see his character interact with having a kid for the fact that he himself is a father. He claimed that the particular storyline "˜deserves further attention'.
Not only that he would love to see that happen, he also thinks that it will happen. And there's a logical explanation he offers to why he thinks that way. Here's what he said (via Comic Book):
"One of the big tenets of Greg Berlanti is you don't introduce something to the audience and you don't tease it if you are not going to follow through with it in some way, shape or form. So I think it's a safe bet that Oliver will find out about his child at some point."

Amell Further Teases Green Arrow!
We already know that the CW series will hit close to its comic book roots for the upcoming season - the name of Amell's character will be changed to Green Arrow, which is also the official episode title for the season premiere. Now, it seems like we will witness further inclination to the comic books in the upcoming season as Amell has posted the following via his Twitter account.
