Michael Pena Confirmed for Ant-Man and The Wasp

Good news for Ant-Man fans: It has been confirmed that Michael Pena will reprise his role as Luis, one of Scott Lang’s former criminal friends, in the film’s sequel, Ant-Man and The Wasp.

The film will reportedly begin shooting in 2017, with Paul Rudd returning as Lang and Evangeline Lily returning as Hope Van Dyne, aka The Wasp. Though it hasn’t been confirmed yet, fans are hoping to see Michael Douglas reprise his role as Hank Pym as well, and Sharon Stone is rumored to be appearing.

Pena has become a big star in recent years, and is known for his performances in End of Watch, Fury, and The Martian. He’s also starring in the upcoming horror film The Bringing. He is only the third actor to be confirmed for the Ant-Man sequel, but fans will surely be pleased at the news. He delivered many of the movie’s biggest laugh lines, even alongside veteran funnyman Paul Rudd.

Ant-Man and The Wasp is set to hit theaters on July 6, 2018. It’s still too early for any information on the plot of the follow-up, but at least the casting confirmations are beginning.

Are you looking forward to seeing Pena return as Luis?
