Logan, the third and final standalone Wolverine movie, is the only X-Men Universe installment that 20th Century Fox has scheduled for release in 2017. We’ve already watched its first official trailer, which was launched back in October. While no new promotional videos have surfaced on the web since then, an exclusive clip for the James Mangold flick was recently shown at Brazil's Comic Con Experience (CCXP) 2016.
According to Universo X-Men (via X-Men Films), Hugh Jackman joined the Logan panel via video message and debuted the clip. In the first trailer, there were a few glimpses of a scene in which Jackman's character sat at a dinner table with Patrick Stewart's Charles Xavier and Dafne Keen's Laura, aka X-23.
Unlike the rest of the trailer, all of them had smiles on their faces in that portion. The CCXP 2016 footage apparently picks up there and reveals that they’ve taken refuge in a farmhouse:
They're on the run, fleeing from someone, and don't reveal to the family that they're mutants. When questioned about their true intentions for being on the road, Xavier and Logan give different responses, in comedic fashion.
Laura is described as acting wild, eating dinner with her hands and no silverware. Logan tries to teach her how to eat, and there's a sense of a father-daughter type relationship between them.
Logan then tells the family that Xavier used to be a school principal. Xavier expands on this, calling it a "school for students with special needs". He says that Logan was also at this school.
From the clip’s description, the new Logan clip seems to be pretty amusing, although it doesn’t feature any major spoilers. Now, it remains to be seen whether Fox will release the clip officially. Even if they don't, March 3, 2017 isn't far away - we can watch it then in theaters!
