The eighth episode of Arrow Season 5 is going to be special for two separate reasons. Firstly, it’s a part of The CW's 4-way DC Universe crossover event and secondly, it's the show's 100th episode. The episode is going to be even more exciting because Katie Cassidy's Laurel Lance is coming back for it!
Showrunner Marc Guggenheim recently shared a photo via his official Twitter account from the particular Arrow Season 5 episode's table read, which features Cassidy. The presence of Jamey Sheridan, who portrayed Robert Queen in the series, in the photo is also worth mentioning. Here's the tweet for you!

While Oliver Queen's father shot himself to death in the pilot episode of Arrow, Laurel got killed in the last season. Since Marc Guggenheim mentioned, "No Flashpoint. No flashbacks" in the tweet, it’s safe to assume that we won't see either of the dead characters in a flashback sequence or due to the effect of Flashpoint.
But since it is a part of the crossover event, and Legends of Tomorrow members will appear in it, Laurel Lance and Robert Queen's appearances could be due to time travel. Katie Cassidy could also be returning as Laurel's Earth Two doppelganger, who goes by the name Black Siren. We shouldn't forget that the actress has a series regular deal across all the shows in the CW's DC Universe, so it's unlikely that we will see Laurel in just one episode.
As for Jamey Sheridan, there are multiple options as well. The actor is speculated by some as the face behind the mask of Prometheus, the mysterious big baddie of Arrow Season 5. While that could be the case, there's the possibility of an appearance as Robert Queen in something like a video message that he recorded for his kids.
