While the latest Marvel and Netflix offering (Iron Fist) might have disappointed some fans, we’re still looking forward to the next series from the darker side of the MCU. This year will see the release of the Defenders and the Punisher, and work on the third season of Daredevil will begin. Further down the line, Jessica Jones will also make a comeback, after what we felt was an excellent first season.
Of course, we really know nothing about what will happen in this new season. For that matter, a release date hasn't been announced, although it’s safe to say that it will happen sometime in 2018. If the villain is as good as David Tennant's Kilgrave, we have nothing to worry about.
Speaking of villains, the Hashtag Show (via MCU Exchange) has come up with a batch of character descriptions for Jessica Jones' second season. The guys at the Hashtag Show say that the descriptions reveal some possible villains.
DR. KIRBY: 60s, male, open ethnicity, scientist, and freethinker…SERIES REGULAR - ONE YEAR DEAL
PRESLEY: Late 30s, Male, African American, intelligent, driven, self-assured…FRACTIONAL SERIES REGULAR
OLIVER: 34-38, male, Latino, artistic, paternal, smart, scruffy, and hip…SERIES REGULAR
INGRID: Early-mid 30s, 5'8 - 5'11, female, dark hair, attractive, and edgy. Has a history of living on the streets. Educated as a nurse, but street-wise. She is attracted to men and women"¦SERIES REGULAR (via CBM)
Kirby might be the villainous Karl Malus, who is responsible for giving Nuke (Wil Traval) his superpowers. Hashtag Show speculates that Presley could be Paladin/Paul Denning (not a supervillain, but a mercenary, who often clashes with superheroes).
Oliver could end up being Otis Johnson, although there’s not much of a chance that this will happen. More interestingly, Ingrid could either be Ian Soo (a connection to the Inhumans), or Typhoid Mary (basically a Daredevil supervillain).
Ingrid is almost certainly going to be an adaptation of an existing comic book character.
What do you think? Do any of these characters sound appealing to you, too?
