Jennifer Lawrence first starred in an X-Men movie in 2011, when she played a younger Mystique for the First Class, taking over the role originally played by Rebecca Romijn.
We could see her reprising her role in Days of Future Past (2014). She'll bring again Mystique on screen in Apocalypse (2016).
And that's where, as it appears, Jennifer Lawrence's involvement in the X-Men franchise will end.
Read along to learn why.
Apocalypse is Jennifer Lawrence 's last X-Men movie
MTV asked The Hunger Games star about her affairs with the X-Men and she briefly answered "It is my last one, actually".

So, Jennifer Lawrence's parting ways with the X-Men might not be such a shocker after all. It was only last week that Nicholas Hoult made a similar announcement.
Just as Lawrence is locked in to play young Mystique, Hoult was hired to bring young Beast on screen. The fact their contracts end with Apocalypse might not be accidental.
Actually, chances are the X-Men franchise might head in a different direction, where there's no need to explore the characters at their younger age any more.
In which case, if Mystique remains a consequential character for the development of the future plots, they could bring back Rebecca Romijn who confessed, back in December, she would be interested in reprising the role of mature Mystique.
Would you like to see Rebecca Romijn back on screen under the guise of the shape shifter mutant? And, then, how do you feel about Jennifer Lawrence parting company with the X-Men franchise?
